SUMMER! Yes, it’s here. Great weather and lots of sunshine. And, hopefully beaches in both my future and yours! As a child, I am sure you can remember, counting down to summer vacation. An entire summer with no homework! Nearly THREE months with NO alarm clock!
Fast forward 20 years. Now, as an adult, I don’t even need an alarm clock to wake me up. If I slept until 6am I would actually feel as if I had wasted part of my day. That, I am actually thankful for. I love being up early. The early bird gets the worm right? I am a mom with a career. I love summer. I love the beach. I love to be a kid and have fun. And, I love to embarrass my daughter – she is 11.
I want this summer to be a little different. We have several vacations planned. Vacations with beaches. Whoop whoop. To me, there is no better place to read a book than on a beach.
Cheers! Cheers, to a summer of reading with my daughter. Over summer I will read a few books I have picked out for my daughter and me to read together – which are listed below. And, I will read a few books my daughter picks out too!
Remember this, children are made readers, in the laps of their parents.

3. Bridge To Terabithia – Katherine Patterson
